I don't know why, but I really wanted something to happen when the speedo hit 88 mph.

I want everyone to let that statement sink in for a second......
When talking about Horsepower, 300 is now considered low. Are we spoiled or what?

To put that into a little bit of perspective: My Dad's bada$$ '79 Z28 has 170hp........
That's a d@mn good point right there.

Yeah, while I hope to get a V8, if finances don't allow that I won't feel bad at all about getting a V6 model. That's one of the best sounding V6s ever.

I think i've been spoiled with all of GM's current performance vehicles. I mean, the ZR1 has 638, the CTS-V has 556 or something, and the Z06 has 505, so it's just me. I just hope it can fly.

"New for 2008 is a direct-injected (DI) version of the 3.6-liter V6 engine. Variable valve timing on the intake and exhaust cams and an 11.3:1 compression ratio help the new engine put out 304 SAE-certified hp, and 80 percent of the peak torque output of 273 lb-ft is available at 1,000 rpm. This engine feels stout, but there's no place on this winding circuit to verify Cadillac's claim of 5.9-second performance to 60 mph and a top speed of 155 mph."
got that from Edmund's Inside Line.

no kidding, my dad tells me stories of old, how he raced his cars, his mustangs, his camaro's, i dont think he had anything else that was sporty, but he looks at hp ratings now and says "yea i could have used that back then haha" so though i dont know this first hand, i do know second hand, its like smoke! haha but yea we are spoiled it would seem.

i hate to edit...i got this laptop and the keyboard is so tiny, i mispelled more of the words typing this..i'll get better at this soon.

If you don't include race cars, then definetly. Although a lot of people are calling them sport's cars, but I think that they are kinda a hybrid of both.

Just for kicks, I looked these two up. The DI V6 doesn't sound a whole lot different to my ears. Maybe just a little higher-pitched.

Mustang GT

G8 GT

Ha ha! I loved watching that GT video. It's gonna get smoked by the V6 Camaro.
