while you are being crucified for your post I will say, find the electronic chime near the rear of the instrument cluster and place a piece of vinyl tape on the hole, it reduces the sound 90%, then you still get the info center warning too.
Considering the crashes I have seen over the years I say, Always wear your seatbelt! IMO

Just subscribed to this thread because I agree with a lot of what you said in your disclaimer.
Also, I am proud of the fact that my '03 Expedition gives you a couple notifications about the seat belt and then shuts up. It even turns off the dash light after about 5 minutes. I wear my seat belt only because it is my choice to do so. I also will ride in the back of a pickup without one if the situation calls for it. Regardless of whether it is better to wear or not to wear it should be a choice and your car shouldn't annoy you to the point of taking that choice away. Just my two cents.
