while you are being crucified for your post I will say, find the electronic chime near the rear of the instrument cluster and place a piece of vinyl tape on the hole, it reduces the sound 90%, then you still get the info center warning too.

Considering the crashes I have seen over the years I say, Always wear your seatbelt! IMO

Just subscribed to this thread because I agree with a lot of what you said in your disclaimer.

Also, I am proud of the fact that my '03 Expedition gives you a couple notifications about the seat belt and then shuts up. It even turns off the dash light after about 5 minutes.

I wear my seat belt only because it is my choice to do so. I also will ride in the back of a pickup without one if the situation calls for it.

Regardless of whether it is better to wear or not to wear it should be a choice and your car shouldn't annoy you to the point of taking that choice away.

Just my two cents.

You all just act like your decisions are more superior that others.

So for an IDEA you have no problem FORCING another person to do something?

I'm fat, so can't eat the food I want? Or, I have high blood pressure, so I can't eat other foods? My genes are bad, maybe I shouldn't have made it to birth? My friend has a retarded child, maybe we should euthanize her to save excess costs?Maybe we can take cues from Demolition Man, the movie, and outlaw: sex, salt, pepper, cussing, and anything else "bad"

Also, I want to remind people that we do NOT live in a democracy. We live in a REPUBLIC, see:

Oh, if you wondering, YES I AM ON THE DRUNK DRIVERS SIDE.

The Drug Legalization Movement.

Remove the road laws/speed limits.
Congratulations.

And, yes...I will close the thread now, since you want it to be.

For anybody's reading enjoyment....
