Another thing to keep in mind with changing the H-Pipe with the X-Pipe is that you will probably pick up around 10-15 rwhp. At least from the research I've done that's what I can tell. The muffler delete alone will help in the weight reduction and sound department but the HP gains are mostly coming from the X-Pipe. You'll probably feel 15 rwhp and the throttle response should be improved as well.

The question I have from those that did the Muffler delete and X-Pipe on an LS3.....did you have the resonators removed or are they still on the car?

I'm still on the fence about going Muffler delete/X-Pipe (quoted $350) or going with the MBRP system ($880). Both have their pros and cons.

Is it throwing any codes with the muffler delete/X pipe? Im thinking about going to drop mine off right now and have this done!!!! Haha... Sounds like a quick cost effective way to get that muscle car sound!

OK good deal...Just looking out for ya. Another member had a dealership
install a GMPP exaust and it melted the bumper cause they did'nt have it
out far enough, and thought maybe you might have lost some length when
they cut it.It sounds like your good though.

Thanks for the look out! I positioned the tips while they got tacked on and triple checked that they were perfect before they got welded into their final place.

You can buy the magnaflow x-pipe for $85 shipped and muffler delete cost me $45. That's a total of $130 plus labor to weld x-pipe. I would find a new exhaust shop. Whoever told you $350 is expecting a large profit.

I think it is time for muffler delete, I just have to find a place here in RI that can do it.

Try Midas, cost me $60 in Oklahoma, might be $300 in RI.

its very aggressive on the outside of the car, but sounds great. i think it may have even gotten louder now since maybe the resonators and cats broke in

I'm in the left lane, i think the burnout sounds sweet the camaro in the right lane has just headers
