You're looking at it from the wrong point of view view. They ARE taking advantage; that's exactly why you see the RS and not the SS in the magazines. The SS doesn't need ads or marketing to sell: it's got a massive fanbase and 400+ hp to do it all by itself. But the V6 models do; they're not highly regarded from past experiences. Honestly -- when you heard "Camaro V6" a few years ago...did you get excited? But from the ashes of Camaro's hiatus comes a chance to change that perception. And I think a 300hp, 27mpg, $22k car is a GREAT way to do that.
