The first time I went to the track in my 5th I ran a couple of 14's.

Then I did the fuse pull turned off the nannies and got progressively better the second time I went until it ran the 13.08 in my sig.

“Sluggish L99 here! 😁😁😐😐😣😣” I miss messing with Gringo, especially after that comment. I miss rontammy too.

OP, long tubes, intake, and tune, should have you at mid 12s in good weather. I’ve seen multiple L99s in that region.

After reading all the posts on this, I believe the OP's location was Georgia. It's summer time and there's a ton of humidity in the air over there. Humidity will cause the car to run slower times. I'm in Arizona, and when it's humid (which isn't much) our times drop. Look at other factors outside of your vehicle.

Drags are done by correcting to altitude and weather factors for one, two your untuned with a stock sluggish kill the power tune and Torque management very prevalent on a Automatic and your 60 ft times make like all the difference in the world... For more real world better weather or better driver infos in ideal conditions I refer to zero to sixty times. com..... http://www.zeroto60times.com/vehicle...-60-mph-times/
Face it talk is cheap, read up, stock new hellcats do 11.7 on there so a 13 ss doing a 12.7 is not so bad...….. or a new zl1 being the same ET as the hellcat....

I'm doing mid 12's and waiting to see how much better once the cooler weather sets in. Here's a list of what I've done;
Out back.....
Sway bar
Trailing arms
Drag radials 305's
3.91 gears

Mid....
Trans tune by RDP

Front.....
CaI
American Thunder 3" cat-back
RDP tune
That's really not a big investment so far and I've beaten some 2018 Coyote Mustang GT's with my chrome wheels and mud flaps lol. The L99 with the VVT is a great platform. I plan on giving the car to my son and graduating to a ZL1 sometime in 2020.

One more point....... practice your launch and reaction time.

Lots of good advice here but FlyingBanana hit the nail on the head with "practice your launch and reaction time". No mods required.

Those threads there at the end were epic though. I still go back for a good laugh once in a while.

"What, you've never heard of a little helper monkey?"

lol I will admit, I stayed away from those threads, but did give them a read usually as they were mildly amusing.

97 degrees is pretty hot.

Do you have decent grippy tires?
Clean air filter?
Are getting the RPMs up and ready for a launch?

I have the same mods and run 12s. First time drag racing ever I ran a 13.03. If your using the tune that came.with the sct you should get a remote tune from a vendor on here.
