I went with Crower roller rockers, solid set up very quiet, my injectors make more noise than the valve train does.

Current setup is 416ci with LS7 Heads, 12.7 compression, 102 mm TB, MSD intake (waiting for LOD to get the LS7 version ready) E85. Cam is LLSR 26x/27x about 720 lift, Harland Sharp rockers.
Why its not running good? Hard to tune? Too big?

I am planning to buy my cam motion llsr this winter and install next spring.
244/257 671 654'
T&D rockers with roller tips and oil gallery
Isky ez roll max solid lifters
I'll get springs cam motion recommend when buying cam
I'll buy the biggest pushrods fits the LS3 heads
Goertz1 intake.
7600-7700 rpm is the goal and hopefully over 650hp.

Still not 100% decided on the cam size.

Probably a little of all the above. We went pretty big with the cam, trying to see what the GPI Max Package could do with a 416 LLSR setup. Car is being held back by the MSD intake at this point, but still have not talked myself into a different hood. I really need an intake that can take advantage of the solid roller higher RPM range. Car runs great at WOT, but light throttle is a mess (it could shake your fillings out). We will work on the tune some more this winter and see what we get. Car made around 595 rwhp and 500 tq. would probably make about 625 or so with a Hi-Ram or LOD intake.

I see. I think you'd do easily 625! You need that LOD or hi ram. I was in the same boat for the hood. That's why I went custom. I figured the Cash saved on the hood would pay for the intake. I still want a Cowl hood but it's pricey...

Is the MSD ported? 102mm TB?

Yeah I might go a little smaller than my first cam spec quote. I'll make sure it's kinda streetable on 91oct and around 11:2-11:4 CR, but I want that rpm, which the intake/heads will take care of, hopefully.

The intake was match ported to the heads, and NW 102. If I was going to go with a cowl hood, I would probably go with CID intake and mount the throttle body horizontally.

My issue with a cowl hood is fitment, most I've see don't fit the best without some work.

I have the vfn sonoco. Fit was perfect. Gap all the way around 👍. Took a little filler at the back of the cowl, sand and paint.

Hello Fellas,

Im running a custom Cam Motion LLSR specced here at GPI with our ported and milled LS3 heads and a CID intake with an Accufab 4500 throttle body. the cam is 25x/27x 78x/74x. T&D shaft mount rockers, Johnson lifters, and 3/8 pushrods. car has been shifted from 7800-8600 and never had an issue. runs on pump E which is usually between 60-70%. Compression is in the high 12s, Car made 615hp at the wheels through a th400, 6700 converter, and on 15" MT Radial Pros. the current race weight is right at 3050 with me in it.

car has been a best of 9.48@140.6 in 2300DA 122 water grains

check out the Gwatney Performance Innovations FB and Instagram for videos of the car. black camaro that says "Flop Gen" across the back glass.

if you have any questions feel free to hit me up.

Ben

I think for most large cams the guys tune them in speed density
