My 75 Cutlass w/a built 455 runs so sweet in crisp 70 degree weather.

Crisp at 70?? LOL. You haven't felt "crisp" temps my friend until you feel truly crisp air up here in the north. Crisp like 25 with the sun out, or worse. Of course, my baby is covered up in the garage when those temps come around, as my summer tires would be worthless at that temperature.

A lower temp makes a change in any modern engine because it increases the amount of air and fuel. A better flowing engine is a good thing at any temperature because it will get more exhaust gas out, making room for more fresh air and fuel at high RPM, regardless of temperature.
