i did the same "mods" vararam and a magnaflow cat back then i did a throttle controller the controller will do alot for feel and response. it won't actually add any power.
with 391's and a controller it would act like a totally different car.
the gears are kinda expensive i see them going for around 1000 bucks and even if you buy gears and not a complete rear from a 1le you will end up at around 1k long tubes + tune cost less money. no matter what ya do you always will end up wanting more. so the question is what he duz from here. ?????

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Vitesse Throttle Control. If you're in a position of not being able to spend a lot of money like I was, go with axle back exhaust (for the sound) and a throttle control unit. They're plug and play and will definitely make launches more fun.

As for the CAI, those are for under hood visuals only - they add nothing to performance.

Sorry man I have to disagree. A CAI will definately make a difference, depending on the one you chose it's possible to see gains north of 10rwhp. This has been proven and is pretty well backed by some of the best in the business, many of who are members of this site. Especially the ones that remove the windshield wiper reservoir and use that space, with a properly sized intake tube and properly placed maf sensor, along with a big, high flowing filter, it's easy to believe that air temps could be reduced by quite a bit.

I beg to disagree. I gained 2mph via a CAI intake on my old SS. Similar weather conditions too. And I also picked up 2mph from the K&N my current came with to the Vararam it has now.

Well documented in the pages of this forum that 1) a Vitesse TB is a code thrower and 2) a dyno result thread where a GM CAI gained 16HP. You'll have to look it up.

Sorry but real world data disagrees.

And the throttle controller are pieces of junk. It is very well documented that they mess with the cars electrical system and will throw codes. Plus once you tune the car, which you should if you get headers or gears, the throttle controller becomes useless as the tune now does the same thing without compromising the car.
