Yes, and write off the lease too Hylton!

Also, for Jimliptak, you can't mod a leased car can you?

I don't generally buy any first year models or any model in the first year after a major redesign. I still have 53 payments left on my Jeep, so I'll have to sit on the sidelines and live vicariously through all of you who do get a first, second, or third year model. Hopefully they're still making them when I'm ready to buy again.

Sure you can, just bolt everything back on before you hand it back in. I know a guy who stroked his engine on a leased car and handed it back that way.

When the mechanic took it out for a spin when they were inspecting it at the end of the lease, he came back saying he couldn't believe how fast the car was.

I think GM knows they need a homerun with the first model year. I plan on waiting about a year and hopefully buy a certified used Camaro. I have a feeling there will be a lot with the vert and Z/28 coming out.

Not generally a good idea, most dealer installed stuff is OK. If you are going to do your own mods better to buy.....

if its what i want for a good price i plan on getting it. if GM announces a SE camaro with more power i might wait it out. as far as quality goes with a first yr vehicle im not concerned at all. GM offers a good warranty and those quality problems are mostly exaggerated anyway.

I am going to wait till Dec 09 for two reasons. 1, Don't want to pay over MSRP (hopefully things will die down a bit by then) and 2, for the HUD and parking assist. I plan on keeping the car for several years so it has to have everything I want and I love driving with a HUD.

I am going to wait to see it first hand and make sure I still even like it. Then I am going to wait for the HUD and any news that maybe released on the Z28. Also, I would like to see what all the after market pieces are going to be as well. I am not planning on leasing this car anyway so hopefully they will have killer deals on interest rates and longer term finiancing to make up for it. I plan on putting a big chunk of change down on it anyway, depending on how much I may want to spend on mods.

Can't wait, can't afford the Z28 (when it comes back someday), and I will live without the HUD (long meditation to get that in my head).

I look at my black diecast Concept Camaro every morning at my office, no more waiting, I'm aging too fast!

Also I'm going to Camaro Scotty's so I don't have to worry about paying over MSRP in the first year.

I went to 2 dealerships to put down a deposit and they said they can't take deposits yet.

I have to wait a little longer...
