I toasted 2 sets of OEM pads and rotors in 37,000 miles, and just installed my 3rd a few weeks ago. However the car is a daily that sees track and auto-x, so I wouldn't call this kind of ware "normal".
![]() Both sets of front rotors warped. And while my rear's still had life left in them, they were starting to dish. This time, I went with DBA 4000's for the front, and added the Z/28 brake ducts for good measure. Rears are still OEM. I figure if an AC Delco part is working well, don't mess with it. lol |

I'll have the thickness measured next time I have to change pads. So far I haven't felt any fade or generated excessive heat so I just deal with it then. I'd love to autocross it but I think the wifey would take issue with the extra tubing I'd have to have... |

I'll call it a spirited type of driving. I may not be able to get on the track but can still use the turn in and stopping capability of the car without breaking the law. Well, usually anyway. Your car looks great! I don't think I've ever seen that color. |

I also partake in spirited driving. I modded it to drive it. I changed my OEM brakes last week, they were very low at 39.000 miles. I was able to resurface the rotors but will need new rotors next time.
