I would take the Trofeos off. Bag them and soak them with a preservative of sorts like Armor All. Something to keep them from drying out any more. They are junk to drive on being 6+ years old, but should you decide to sell in the future, it would be neat to have a set to include in the sale.

Well, here's a horror story for you. Took your advice, which was perfect. After being denied by my usual Tire Discounters because of the fear of my 30 aspect ratio, I drove to Lexington to the only Tire Discounters near me that had the latest equipment to do it. I ordered the 325/30/19 Pilot Sport A/S 4s for my Z/28. Couple days later they're in. 8am yesterday I show up and they get to work. I supervise via their multi-view cameras which are very cool, occaisionally wandering across legal boundaries to get a better look. 3 hours later (they were very busy), tires mounted, balanced, installed and alignment complete. I walk out and do a close inspection.
AAAAUUUUUGHH! The tires clearly say Pilot Sport 4 S. The whole point was to get off the Trofeos and onto the all-seasons. The guy was really nice about it and very apologetic. Said it was on him and he'd make it right. He went to order the all-seasons and couldn't get any from any source. He said I could leave and keep the tires until he found the A/S 4s. He put the error in writing on my invoice stating they would switch them out when the A/S 4 became available. He charged me the lower A/S 4 price. So I'm driving on brand new Pilot Sport 4 S tires. No clearance issues with the 325's like you said. One other thing. These tires drive... Gooooooooooooooooood. Way better than the Trofeos. Part of my brain says keep them. They feel so good. They are nice, but I'll have to drive it in some cold temps in KY. Plus the A/S have a 45,000 mile warranty. Anyway, these tires fit perfect. Note that they did rub the outside front of the fender when up in the air. But as soon as it's on the ground, it's all gooooodoooood. Damn, I have the worst luck. Geno

Told ya the 4S is a nice tire! I'm guessing the All-seasons will probably be pretty good also. At least you went to a good shop that's treating you well. I'm pretty anal about my tires, especially the performance ones. I do a "pre-installation inspection" and look for damage, repairs, plugs and of course country of origin. USA, Japan and Europe OK. Got stuck with Mexican made BFGs but nobody else is making 14" for oldies. No Chinese tires for my rides. Maybe keep one of the old Trofeos for a good stepping stool if you do any truck maintenance. A big stack of old tires takes up a lot of room and they're never going to be safe for driving again. They're a consumable, like a battery or wiper blades.

I was thinking of stacking and bonding two in some manner and making a glass top table.

Genob4c….. glad I could help out.. I love these PSC2’s but again they aren’t going to last long. I never looked into the 4s’s. Glad you got a good place to work with you. Our discount tire in BG was great as well. Very knowledgeable and plus it helped the installer had a bagged subi that he tracks . Maybe I’ll run into ya sometime or see ya at CF !!

I've been really happy with my set of 4S tires. I drove them through the winter with no issues, as well. Lowest ambient temp was about 20F. I think the glass transition temperature for these is 14F if I recall correctly.

I just mounted 325/30R-19 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 ZP's on all 4 corners of my Z without any fitment issues. I test drove it on some pretty twisty & bumpy roads without any rubbing at all. I wanted the ability to get caught in the rain without worrying and although the car will never be driven in the winter, I can move it in the shop if I have to in the winter months in sub 40° temps. I also like the fact that they are run flats since the car has no jack, spare or inflation kit. They are quieter than I expected and stuck to the road very well. The 30,000 mile tread warranty is a bonus too.

I should add that when TD first installed them, the from passenger rubbed the strut even when straight. I was feaking out. Turned out they had the front and back wheels reversed. Of course, the rear wheels are 1/2" wider. This was enough difference to make the 325 rub in the front. That just goes to show you how tight the 325s are in front. Even the 1/2" wheel size caused them to rub. Whew. I love these tires, though. They feel great, and I won't have to change them when the weather turns cold. Geno
