That gap at the nose is proof that it was installed wrong. You are to start attaching the nose at that middle point and move out towards the ends, not start at the ends and move to the middle. That is why there are those 1/8th inch gaps. No where for the excess GFX to got but out. That is where the wind resistance forces the GFX down and they come loose. I would not wait until the GFX falls off, it will easier deel with dealer before it causes more damage as in my case.

Now did you have to use the Dealership you bought it at? A friend brought up a good point. It may be warranty work due to it being a option when I ordered the car. However it is a Dealer Installed option. I have a Chevy dealership not even 5 miles from my house, but I bought the car 70 miles away. Just wondering if I can call the closer dealer and have them fix it...?

I ordered my car from one dealership, then picked it up at another dealership because they are Auto Nation Dealers which is the largest in the country. The dealer that put the GFX on where I picked it up, put the GFX on wrong. So I went to the dealer that I ordered the car from and they replaced the front GFX with factory warranty after deciding weather to or not to charge the original dealership for the wrong installation. Local GM rep had to make the decission weather it was going to be covered by warranty or the original dealer would have to pay for the work since it was there falt. You should not have a problem. It is covered by warrrany, but if the nose falls off and drags like mine did, they will try to blame you by saying that you hit something. So I would get it fixed. If your dealer has a problem with that then try the dealer close to you. If nothing is rectified the ask them for the GM regional reps phone number and go over there head. It's there falt that they cannot follow directions properly on how to install parts. Good Luck and keep me posted on the situation.

Well, I called the closer Dealership and they said they could fix it, but it wouldn't be under warranty since they didn't install it. I called the Dealership where I bought it from and he informed me that it was out-sourced. He is in the process of calling the company to see what they would do to fix the situation. Is that something that is normally done, out-sourcing work to a non-Chevrolet affiliated shop?

That out-source company should have some type of insurance to be in business. The dealer is still responsable for any work done on a new vehicle. There out-sorce company should be fired after they fix your GFX.

to install correctly the front facia and rear section has to be removed to secure the gfx properly and there are 2 brackets on the front and 2 brackets on the back that need to be attached . some of the mechanics or cutting corners or being lazy and not installing them correctly.here's the instructions.

Well, my dealer is really working with me to get this situation taken care of. Wednesday we will set everything up so the company can look at the ground effects. I did see first hand though that the install is messed up. I saw this Camaro in the Best Buy parking lot and there are very small gaps at the wheel well and no gap in the front...

The sad thing is that most dealerships don't even have qualified people to install the ground effects kits. I helped my dealership with the first 2 to show the guys how to install correctly. The front is hard to get on there 100% correct.

I also had the same gaps in the same places. The factory GFX just do not fit properly on the front (no problems with the rear and side skirts). I also used 3M and clamped it tight overnight and that seemed to do the trick.
