A few minutes later, some guy shows up driving a much nicer car than mine and the salesman bolted from me to go over and talk to him. Needless to say, I didn't end up buying from that dealer and told all my co-workers to avoid them as well.
Yea i went in with my dad to buy a porsche 911 after working out, and we pulled up in my jeep wrangler. the sales prick wouldnt even give us a second of his time, he was doing everything he could to avoid us.

we didnt leave though, my dad just bought the car (infront of the prick) from one of the other sales people so as to give him the commission.

not all sales people are bad, we are friends with ALOT of people who work in sales and are good people, but the majority need jesus.

Wow, so much to say about being a salesman, but i don't want to bore you all. I joined this forum way before returning to sales. True enthusiast first, sales second. I wish you guys could come talk to my dealership, or sit in on a meeting and listen to my sales manager talk about pleasing the customers, and creating "Raving Fans" or "We are in the service industry, we just happen to sale cars". Now I am not a prof. Internet salesman, but if you are close to Kansas you should think about hitting me up in PM. I have only two deposits taken. When allocation come around I will be able to get people in line quickly.
Noticed you are in Wichita. Which dealership?? I wish I could say I would be able to hop in line when these things first come out but finances with a recent first born and dear wifey not working as much will not permit it. I am holding out hope for a 2011 model though. Thankfully the wife is on board and loves the car too. Will be nice to know that there may be a local hookup for one of these when the time comes. Will be happy to pay you visit when the time comes.

Confessions of a Car Salesman - Before You Buy Another Car Read This!

This is a great read on Edmunds: http://www.edmunds.com/advice/buying...2/article.html

I can't say that I'm surprised by this tale of an undercover car salesman, but I am a little irked at the shenanigans that go on, even though you already have suspicions. These guys are still snakes!

Sad that we have to go into a dealership, distrustful and defensive...
