Although, many people know who LPE is, but for new clients, it's best to point out what LPE stands for! |

But what are your actual labor rates and tuning costs? Word of mouth has been known to be wrong or exaggerated before. |

[QUOTE=rodimus prime;1360274]You made it seem as if you paid 2k for the supercharger/tune install alone.
Sorry for the confusion - I didn't list all the parts that are included in their packages and the extra parts that I had added on when it got there. Believe me, I thought about just adding the s/c and having someone local do it but it came down to reliability and a company standing behind their work. It was all worth it to me........and I will be bringing it back for their 650hp package with the forged internals later on.

As others have said, if you want a top notch hassle free RELIABLE experience, send your car to Lingenfelter. They are not "learning on the job" & it will be done right when you get it & it will be backed by a 3 yr/ 36 mos warranty if by some slim chance anything were to crop up. Of course if one wants to go the cheap chiseler route & maybe save a few pennies by buying their own parts & taking it to someone who's " learning" as they go along( likely a lot of "errors" in the trial & error process), then one should have at it. Instead of an enjoyable flawless experience, one can get ready for all kinds of "surprises" that can get very expensive rapidly as your eyes get wide & your jaw drops at each phone call of more problems from the " cut rate" tuner.

$90 an hour is well within reason especially if you get a name like LPE to do the work. I figured you guys were "too rich' for my wallet, I guess I was wrong.

little off topic
So, this thread took on a life of it's own,
So trying to read through the chit chat, cost to have a good shop install is about a day and a 1/2 labor, or approx $1,000- $1,500. Knowing my skills I do believe I could do this, but hearing from those that have and those that had it done, having someone who has done this, do it and knowing they are doing it right with their shops rep online it seems to make $$$ and peace of mind since to have a good shop do it. I don't abuse my cars and rarely get on them, but having it there and knowing it is there is a great feeling. Now living way out here in the Nothwest Portland/Seattle area great shops like Lingenfelter, SLP and the likes being thousands of miles away it is time to do some research to find a good shop a little closer. Thank you for the help, Tuesday we sinstall SLP springs and bars, then next weekend Borla exhaust with the Airaid Intake, drive it for a few hundred miles and find a shop to add Maggie going to be all smiles this spring.
