I feel you there. Mine are the same, brand new looking P-Zeros. Original tires, battery, all of it. 4 oil changes on carfax at my local dealer since new. Lol yea I hear you on staying stock. I’m already procuring parts as we speak. I’m going to put 6th Gen ZLE wheels and tires on it.

I'm presuming the AFM lifters went away with the JRE build? I use their tune.

Thank you everyone for the help and the kind words. After work, swapped the wheels/tires, changed the oil and and rear diff fluid. Went with my tried and trusted Royal Purple 75 90. The factory fill I dumped did not look to me like it was 1 qt. I’ve been reading about people, especially on the early models, complaining about hearing grinding noises from the rear when backing out of the garage or at slow speeds. This car has the same noise. I believe it was not filled enough from the factory. Anyway, I put in new fluid and did a bunch of figure 8s. The noise went away for tonight, but don’t know if it will be cured for good. Hope I don’t have to replace the diff.

Both of my cars have made a little noise, more like the clutches in the Posi being slightly bound up when the oil is cold. As soon as they get some heat in them everything works fine with no noise or binding. Maybe I should change my oil too…

I’ll report back if my grind goes away. My main concern is damage beyond repair. The car did not have a hard life, but the low fluid level is worrisome given enough miles (7400 in this case).

IMO leave the body stock. Stock bodied early 10's are getting rare
Get rid of the ugly bra and leave the chiclets Keep it clean and you
will be supprised at all the looks and thumbs up you get.
I put the Solo Axle Back J/Pipe Exhaust on mine and have never once
heard any AMF noise from the exhaust at any RPM in over 12 years.

Great rare car. Enjoy.

Thanks man, definitely gonna add that to list of stuff to do this winter. I’m sure it is the factory fill and getting closer to 14 years old now, even though it’s got stupid low miles.

Washed it finally, then went for a spin. 70 degree day, rare in MI this time of year. So far, I’m loving it.

Yes Sir. For us northerners, this is amazing. Can’t wait, I’ll be moving south in about 3 year. At least that’s the hope. But family dictates all of that ultimately.
