Wow, that seems pretty low to me. I get better than that on my LT1 V8 with an automatic 4 speed.

Averaging about 21-22 mpg in light traffic,
doesn't matter if I'm in D or S
this with a SOLO exhaust and Airaid CAI,
car is running great but a bit rich, I can tell by the heavy soot on the exhaust tips,
can't wait till they come up with a tune !

I'm averaging about 19 MPG on every fill up. According to the display on my gauges. I do about 30 miles a day 15 miles back and forth to work and back. I never really get on it unles there's a Mustang wanting to challenge me.

I have a 1LT, fully stock & drive mostly rural. I only have 1800 miles on mine, but average 24.5MPG. I try to keep my foot out of it, but sometimes..... My commute is 38 miles one way, mostly 4 lanes rural red lights several miles apart, then 8 miles of interstate, so it is quite varied. I did reset the DIC at about 500 miles, but noticed no appreciable change.

By way of interest, my 2008 Kia Spectra with a 2.0L 4 cylinder only averages 30MPG! Only 5 MPG difference. Man what a difference technology makes! The Camaro is a HELL of a lot more fun to drive!

Ok, so this is how I have started to monitor my mpg. I'm trying to keep all of my acceleration below 2250rpm through the gears. Everytime I'm filling up on gas I reset my avg mpg and avg speed. This gives me an idea of my mpg to the speed traveled. Helps to see where the mpg goes up and down. Now, if your like me I will do hard accels through the band trying to get into traffic and the mpg will drop just from that. So be prepared. Right now I'm at 19.4mpg and 24.7mph.
