That was my original idea. I did it on one of them, turned on the lights and you could see right through it. Almost like they are not there.

Changed the idea to cover it all. Nothing but complements from co-workers. It's the Camaro guys opinions that matter to me though. Will get some pics later.

The Vinyl isn't an exact color match but nobody at work can notice it. I can though. Will see if it grows on me. I got the vinyl free.

I also have a white camaro so I'm liking this. Mind if I ask what type of vinyl, and possibly where you got it (), that you're using? I'd be interested in trying this!

Not to rain on your parade but to me it looks like the body shop forgot to mask off the side lamps before painting. I just don't see the up side to this mod.- just my opinion.

I like it! This is something I did in black vinyl to my car just after getting it in April. I even got a little creative and cut small slits and bowties out of the centers of them to let a little more light shine through. I'll be going to on the ride to with you tomorrow.

Looks waaaaaay better then stock.

I'm ordering Summit White and will be looking at either doing this, or black to all the side markers...the tails on the other hand are def going to be blacked out.

I'm going to change my red ss badges to either the white or black-out too.

BTW: The colored sticker in the SS is actually two layers. On the white SS you can peal it back separate it carefully to expose black. On mine I just removed the SS sticker and used it as a template. I stuck the old SS sticker on a piece of vinyl and then just carefully cut around it. I like mods that do not destroy things so you can just change it up later.

Wow, good to know.

I'm guessing that it is black below the Red SS badges too?

Side note: I'm sooooo jealous of you AZ peeps right now. I moved from Phx area to PA last summer and am missing the mid-60's winter right about now...it's 19 out!

Is there a specific color code/name that you found is the closest?
