I just don't see them revisiting the 1st gen design language again. 5th gen was a success because of this, but obviously it was time to move on. The 6th gen carried some of that 1st gen design, but to a much lesser extent than the 5th gen did. But they stayed with that general shape and look for almost 15 years. I think the 3rd gen would be the most likely focus, or at least in my opinion, should be. A modern 3rd gen Z28 design would be amazing. If they make any future design callbacks for a new generation of Camaro, I would expect it to be start here.

The cramped interior and way worse outward visibility than its competitors did it in. The 6th was a far superior car than its competitors(performance wise) but those 2 things put it in third place in sales for much of its 9 year duration

When challenging the thought of an EV Camaro
I posted in the "Ask Al", now "Ask The Camaro Team" section this thread: Chevrolet Panther and challenged them to not bastardize the Camaro with an EV, instead retain some heritage with the Panther name while creating it's own car for their EV option. Honestly, Chevy/gm should take a look at Dodge's massive flop of the EV Charger and pull the plug before they blow a model year on wasted cars that purist muscle car enthusiasts don't actually want, but that's just me. If it does turn into a success, I might have to go after gm for royalties for them using my idea without any compensation.

**** EV. They’re going to hydrogen cell in a few yrs. But N/A non AFM VVT engines with a 6spd manual and homage to 67. Not 69. It’ll sell like hotcakes if looking good and not so electronic

I'm certain that the General won't directly replace the Camaro with a vehicle named Panther. Camaro is a storied name, recognized around the world. It would cost tens, if not hundreds, of millions in marketing for a Panther name to reach even a shadow of that recognition. If there's a Camaro replacement, it'll be named Camaro.
Having said that, it would not surprise me if GM were to produce a vehicle similar to what a Camaro replacement would've been (muscular body, electric, four-door) and name it Panther. This way, if it's successful, they could safely offer a two-door version, as the new Camaro (I'm looking at you 2024 Dodge Charger).

Just watched the Garage56 story on Prime about the GM/Hendrick effort to run a Nascar Camaro at Le Mans in 2023. Not sure how much of it was hype, but the fans seemed to be digging the Gen6 effort.
Now that it's clear everybody does not want an EV, maybe they will try to produce a car people want to buy. A 5.5 liter Gen7 would be nice addition. I'm not a buyer, since I have two Gen5s and not enough time to work on what I have, but it might have appeal to a lot of other people.
