If you are going to go thru all the work on replacing ring and pinions, you should take one more step and look at the 2 differential bushings. The OE units allow a rather significant amount of movement of the differential.
Pedders offers a regular performance upgrade diff bushing; 1. EP1167. this bushing is significantly firmer than OE and by design has engineered reliefs to assist in noise reduction. This bushing is good to 450hp at the rear. If you are using drag radials, you should step up to the next version. 2. Our HD differential bushing is significantly stronger and is p.n EP1167HD This bushing has a much higher dura and will have a reduction in the ability to dampen any kind of diff noise. But if you are going after serious performance, have rear hps over 450, or use drag radials, these are the diff bushings to get. There are multiple other bushings that can seriously assist you in putting down the power better. If you need assistance, just ask thanks mike dms |
