Ted Jannetty did a bunch of testing and there is a spreadsheet around here somewhere. It tied for the lowest IAT's, had the best "no tune" HP numbers and it fits perfectly. The box is insulated on the inside and the tube is ceramic coated inside and out.

Although it may be a bit tough to find as they are selling like hotcakes and hard to find in stock....

OOOOoooooo, Glassy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like this one.

I have the CAI Inc. on my LS3 as well and I'm very pleased. As everyone knows it's very hard to decide which one is the best one. Ted's results helped me narrow it down but the deciding factor for me was the insulated airbox and it being enclosed from the engine compartment instead of using the hood insulation to seal it.

We also carry the BBK intake, as well as the Halltech and our pipe as well.

It test ran the BBK intake for Hypertech. It's not a bad setup, very similar to the other stock location, open top CAI's. The box doesn't fit tightly against fenderwell and I don't remember there being any rubber seals on the edges. The tube is thinwall shiney metal (dont' know the composition). Velocity stack was in the filter, if I remember correctly. FT's weren't affected much, if at all, so it should play nice with the PCM and NOT throw codes. I don't know the price but if it's in the sub $300 range, it should be considered along with the other cheaper metal units out there.

I feel the Halltech was a much better CAI which is why I run one.

Both should be featured, along with several others, in the HT tuning software setup.

Its interesting that you finally got an email from Vararam on the same day you make a birthday thread needing an intake?

You're # 44 on the Preorder list. Vararam wasn't up to # 44 yet?

For us guys at 150+ on the preorder list, I can't even imagine how long its going to be.

Halltech for my SS and my Z06. Do yourself a favor and go to the Katech website: http://www.katechengines.com/katech_inc/

They built the motors for the C5R and C6R until GM took it inhouse. See what they use - that should help you decide which one to choose.

I have this one, very pleased. Easy to install, I had 3 13 year olds helping, (more like hindering) had it in within 40 minutes.
