HELP, CAI and Birthday Issue!!
Ok my dad sent me more money than he normally would for my birthday back on Jan 10th. I have not cashed the money and he is bugging me. He told me he wanted me to do something for me and not spend it on doctor bills. So I told him I would get a CAI. I was on a list to beta test a Vararam but that never happend so I can't show him that and say it is what I spent the money.
So I need recommendations on the best CAI I can get that will not require a tune. I just finished a computer repair network on the side and got some extra money last night I can add to it if need be. But I really need advice on the best performance for the dollar. He also wants me to do something soon with pictures to prove I did it or would like the extra money over normal he sends sent back. He really wants me to do something for me. So any advice would be great. Thanks Scott |

I've never seen anyone unhappy with a Halltech. I had one for a Vette and plan on getting one for my Camaro. They do a lot of work to make sure the MAF reads right and won't set codes.

Halltech, RotoFab, AirRaid.. I don't think you would be disappointed with either of those.

I have an ADM CAI and I think it has the cleanest installation of any I've seen.

I vote ADM as well. I like what they did with their CAI.

C.A.I FTW
I submit the C.A.I unit as the best candidate.
Ted Jannetty did a bunch of testing and there is a spreadsheet around here somewhere. It tied for the lowest IAT's, had the best "no tune" HP numbers and it fits perfectly. The box is insulated on the inside and the tube is ceramic coated inside and out. Although it may be a bit tough to find as they are selling like hotcakes and hard to find in stock....

Absolutly get with Andy and get you a ADM cai. IMO it is the best looking one on the market and the gain is very good. I wouldn't take any other even if it was free!

CAI Inc. is what I have on my L99...I can feel a difference and it made my tires break loose! That's just me though, but I highly recommend it!

I have a company that contacted me to look at theirs and do a write up on it. So I think I am going to give that one a shot.

I'm very happy with the Roto-Fab, easy install, looks great and a very noticable improvement in how the car runs. Also gives it a throaty growl under acceleration.
But like others have said you will probably be really happy with just about any one of them...good luck |
