93 here. Try to fill up on Tues since V-power at Shell is 6 cents a gallon off on Tuesdays. Also have a Shell Citibank card that gets me 5% back on Shell gas purchases.

I like Shells gas as well, but,the Tuesday thing must be only in Ill. Nothing like that in Indiana??? Anywhere else?

No. You shouldn't, have to. Your dealer should have gotten the correct flash for your car or if it's a newer car, you should allready have it.

I don't know of any place where we can get 93 up here, so I use the only place in town that has 91 that I've found. :(

Literally exactly what it says. You pull certain fuses from your car so that when you reinsert them the 'memory' of what type gas/octane you were using is wiped so that your car can 'relearn' the better gas/octane and use the appropriate performance tables.

Check the V8 engine forum. There is a sticky at the top with all the information you'd ever need about it

93. There is a gas station near me that has racing fuel 103. Might put a couple of gallons in. Love the smell

Depends on where you live. The higher in altitude you go, the less compression your engine has. The need for "really high" octane goes down the higher up you go.
Once you cross over the 3000' mark or so, 91 octane is AOK. No knocking or pinging whatsoever. Try using OVER 93 octane where I live and good luck starting your car in the morning.
