good, don't have to worry about then. Well, I think I am going to seriously look into getting headers and the rest. Now the tough part, sell this to the wife that it will save us money by being less restrictive with better performance and MPG..........

Thanks for the input guys.

The stock manifolds are a little cumbersome to work around. Once you get the headers in there, you will have much more room for your "breakfast sausages" lol.

Bonus: spark plugs are easier to get to afterwards also.

i just installed Kooks, cats, Corsa cat back and a Roto-Fab CAI. all myself with no help and no issues putting the new stuff on at all.

woulda been easier with someone, but wasn't too bad.

i took out the plugs just to be safe. the Kooks slid right up there. i can't imagine a header install being easier......i've had way more issues istalling headers on my old Chevelle and Camaro!

the Corsa install is ok and went well, but i think i'm gonna have my exhaust guy take the clamps off and weld it together.

Had my headers installed at a local garage. 180 bucks. didnt cost me no time and frustrations. Took him around 4 Hours ,(had to answer phone, unloading a load of wood, and sitting there talking to me and others). He did an excellent job. He said the hardest part was getting the dipstick piece back in the hole, that took 2 people. other than that he said it was real simple.

ditto on the dipstick tube... forgot about that, mine had some wires that jumped into the way when the dipstick was removed, obscuring the hole, put it close from the top and then reached up from underneath the car where i could barely see the hole... that was a bit of a pain in the moneymaker

Did you have to remove the dipstick tube? Just ordered my KOOKS with cats today from Marylandspeed.. I can't wait to get them on.. Just an FYI, I was told that KOOKS is raising there prices by 8% March 1st if anyone cares.

Yeah, you gotta pull the dipstick tube out to get the stock manifold off, but it's no biggie!! I would suggest having a buddie around to lend a hand, but overall it is not too difficult of a job!!
