LT header and exhaust question

I apologize if I'm naive, but with the LT headers with high flow cats from ARH, is it still possible to get borla cat backs? Do the headers end where the stock headers normally would, to get the proper connection? Or is it even worth it - should I get the axle back instead (ie how's the stock pipe from cat to axle?)

thanks in advance for the advice

You can mix and match brands. Some companies wont make a header, but make good exhaust systems from the cat back and vice versa. Lots of applications have a flange type connection, in which case it would be wise to make sure the exhaust pipe is the same size: 3", 2.5", etc. I believe stock, the pipe is 2.5" all the way around (please someone correct if this is incorrect). Headers will meet at the collector, then the cat, which will bolt up at the same place as the stock exhaust header/cat would.

In short, you can get ARH headers with cats, and still get a borla exhaust.

I'm by no means an exhaust expert, so someone feel free to correct me if need be.

great. thanks for the help, I figured the connections were in the same place, but before spending that cash, I wanted to double check.

Be careful, though...there are two options when getting the ARH headers...you need to specify when ordering what you are planning to do, because the standard ARH come with an X-pipe, with extends beyond the connection for a cat-back and you would have to cut either the ARH pipe or the Cat-back.

However ARH does offer the option to just have the headers with the cats, and ends where a cat-back would begin...you just have to specify that this is the option you are looking for.

Thats exactly what I was looking for. I didn't know if the x-pipe on the ARH was in the same "anatomic" position as the Borla X-pipe. I really don't want to do any cutting.
