I think it's easier with an auto then a stick. It's called power braking. Turn off the nannies, press the brake down just enough to keep the front tires from turning with your left foot and press the go pedal down with your right.

Don't know if this will help or i'm just reiterating what was already said but after I installed my intake, I pressed the traction button twice and gave it some gas. not completely to the floor, but i'd say about halfers...the car just sat there with the tires spinning though and didn't move forward until I let go of the gas a bit.

My husband did it one day just to see how it would do. He did not turn off the trac.control and it still worked great. We were out in the country straight flat road no other cars in sight.

At all red lights and stop signs for my car. Just give it the gas and she breaks loose. No power braking/brakestanding needed.

Humm wonder if that is why I needed new back tires at 8500 miles

I was thinking about that. Since the brakes are proportioned what, 60/40 front/rear, would pressing the brake pedal wear the back brakes? Is that why you just hold it down enough to keep the front wheels from turning? Or do the rear brakes disengage?

Yes it will wear out your back brakes because the back brakes come on first. What's wrong with just punching it ? It's the same thing.

you only need to hit traction control once to burnout. This will also allow the back end to kick out a bit but won't let you get out of control. I never turn off stabillitrack, it's a nice safety feature. Now if you are going to drive on a track and need to get a little sideways around corners then go ahead and turn it off, or if you want to do donuts then hold for 7 seconds to turn everything off.

They are not being completely honest with you. It will do a burnout, but only in reverse. LOL

Sidebar: Has anyone thought about trying to "modify" the brake bias? My guess is, this kind of mod would severely impede the nanny controls and would really only be practical on track cars.

Just a random thought, though...

As everyone has said, it is possible if you hold the brake and gun it with traction control off.

Here is evidence in a R/T Challenger (auto of course):

That would be an R/T Charger, not a Challenger.
