Do you know the weight difference between the Fiberglass and Carbon Fiber hoods?

Pmed them and they said that the wieght difference is minimal, I think its more for cosmetics

I am considering this hood to lower the under hood temps in an FI setup. Is the hood scoop actually functional. I looked at the picture of the raised hood on your product page but could not tell.
