not sure what your trying to say. I turn the key far enough to the start position to engage the auto crank feature, i dont hold the key like you have to in the older cars. Soon as the car starts the message comes on while the needles start to do their calibration sweep.

Thing is that message never ever came on until the next morning after hitting that pot hole.

I'm not a mechanic - but isn't there more than one *computer*? The normal codes come from the ECM.. But I believe there is an anti-lock computer, and a xyz computer... maybe a stabiltrac one too?

you might have a point. just went out into the garage and looked. only other things it could be would be the TCM? and BCM: which im guessing is Body Control Module. Should i pull one of these circuits as well, in the idea that the stabilitrak might correspond to instead of the ECM

yeah, if you use the auto crank as you call it the message on the DIC comes on, don't know why but there is nothing wrong with the car

hold the key on the start position till the car starts, (like on older cars) and the message does not appear.

ok i read that thread, read that two people mentioned it. I noticed when i started it up after the 2nd start up ever that ive done in the car that it had this feature. I was showing my buddy before we went out on the drive that we hit the pot hole this feature and mine never had the service stabilitrak light come on when i use the "auto start" feature, nor do i ever remember it coming on times before that, humm confusing

Ok after taking precautions of unhooking battery i started it up and the message still appears. so then i held the key just slightly longer like i did when i first picked the car up. NO MESSAGE so yes it must be a glitch.

Tell your customer to hold the key as if it was an older vehicle when starting and not use the bump the key/auto start feature and see if the message doesnt appear. Glitch for 2010!

You should get a "hard reset" of all systems by disconnecting the battery rather than pulling fuses that may or may not be part of stabilitrac.
