Exclamation Technical Glitch Found?!

Ok i was driving about 3 weeks ago and i was giving a buddy of mine a ride to show how much different the ride is compared to the 3rd and 4th gen camaros. so i hit a few small ruts in the road and then i guess i didnt notice one that was a good size pot hole and it jounced the car pretty good. It didnt give me a flat or anything, no signs of driveability issues. Next morning i start the car and this flashes on the screen:

Name: Service StabiliTrak.jpg
Views: 13389
Size: 77.9 KB

It flashes on the screen and then goes out after about 3 to 5 seconds. There are no indicator lights on the dash, just those words that come up and then it goes out.
Then it gets to the point if the car is driven back to back it wont come on, but if u have it sit for a couple of days then it comes back on again.
About a week ago i go to get my first oil change, tell my service writer and show him the picture. So the tech checks it out, no codes? Service manager says he will look into it. I come back a couple days later and he says he hasnt found anything on it, i said well it seems like something might of just shook loose, bad connection? Seems like it just needs to be reset. He said yeah we would do that but there is no codes when we look.
Anybody else have this problem? i think i might just need to reset it myself since they will only do it if there is a code, im thinking i just need to pull a fuse, disconnect battery or something? Any thoughts

I would be interested in knowning what it is when you find out. One of my customers has an issue w/ her car, and it also throws no codes.

I've seen numerous incidents where someone has said something was wrong and no codes were given, maybe that in-and-of-itself is the tech. problem?
Just some theory.

Try calling OnStar and have them run a diagnostic check. They should be able to tell you if there are any codes stored. You could also have the operator transfer you to technical support. I had a strange issue with a LaCrosse where I inadvertently put it in shipping mode. The first operator suggested taking the car to the dealer. Tech support knew in 2 seconds how to reset the car.

I had the same light come on for a few days, but I was messing around with my intake. However, that shouldn't affect stabilitrak....

i just went thru my emails and found an onstar diagnostic report that was done on 3/29/2010 and i took that picture on 3/23. And it has came on several more occasions before that picture was taken as well.

Engine and Transmission System
Emissions System
Air Bag System
StabiliTrak® Stability Control System
Watch Video
Antilock Braking System
OnStar System
NOTHING and i was intrigued by the watch video link below the StabiliTrak and the link is broken

Update after posting, i was able to get out around that link and all it shows is how it works, nothing useful

I would have a mechanic go over the Stabilitrak system and look for anything loose, like a wheel sensor. After confirming that there is nothing physically wrong with the car, try disconnecting the battery to reset the computer.

My stabilitrac light came on and car was running like dog mess due to a cracked spark plug. There is a post here somewhere that states whenever there is some type of engine malfunction that your stabiltrac light will come on. I think this is to prevent wheels spin and rough driving until the problem is fixed.

FYI you posted your OnStar account number in those links. With your zip code, anyone can get into your OnStar account. You might want to edit your post.

Mine doesnt run rough at all? I love onstar but sometimes i . Ok sir everything checks out ok with the car so it seems the car is in good running condition so you shouldnt have to worry about it. Im sorry i am a type that it will absolutely drive me nuts it that message keeps coming on and nothing is wrong at all. The yellow stabilitrak symbol that is in the center of the tach gauge, it is never lit

My CTSV had the same code. It would come on only occasionally. Turned out to be a bad steering position sensor. The dealer replaced it, and I never saw the code again.

if you don't crank/hold the key long enough while starting the car the message on the DIC comes on then goes away, if it's that then you have nothing to worry about
