Honestly if it is just a small spot where the paint wraps around under the hood you can probably just use a little touch up paint. Think about it this way...if what people are looking at when your hood is open is how perfect the paint wraps under the hood....then there is an issue.

Those areas of the car are not going to be clear coated either....On any mass produced car not just the Camaro or GM.

Pics of paint

No matter what I try I am not able to upload pics to this site. Is there a file size limit? I took my pics on a 5 mega pixel setting. It lets me enter them in the garage but they dont finish loading before it just sends me back to the garage without loading the pic on the site.

That said...even if it is a mix-up...GM's not a high-end painting company, they are a broad-spectrum car company that needs to do well in all areas and "exceptional" in none (even though they do...). Just my .02 on that little comment.

Yep...in fact, if you've ever seen one of the painting robots programmed...it's programmed based on a human painter's motions. They actually hook the guy up with some motion sensors on his arm to record position data. Pretty neat stuff, if you ask me.
Sounds like excuses given for a rushed paint job even though it may be standard practice. In her case it simply might be worse than others if he/she is noticing them off the bat. My IOM though did come out as good as to be expected with the orange peel. However the front bumper was bolted too close on mine and the paint was wearing off in between. I have yet to have this fixed yet.

Its the way they are painted. Mine has lots of areas with no paint but the green metal protection. Its the way the robots do it, I do not think GM will do anything about it. Heck my car was in quality control for 45 days and nobody said the paint was wrong and rejected it.
