Be sure to lay a soft blanket on the floor in front to set your bumper on after you take it off. Don't forget to unplug the running lights. Be careful and go slow as to not mess anything up. Look at your grille very carefully before you start the job because I had 2 small cuts on mine and didn't see them until I was finished with the install but GM made it good and sent me another one. I just had to do it all over again. I decided to not paint mine. What are you doing with yours? You will love the look!!!

Was this install something that you can do by yourself or does it take 2 people to get it done?

1 person can do it but be careful when you are taking the bumper off and putting it back on. It is alot easier with 2 people when you get to that part to ensure you don't scratch anything.

It's really not that hard to do. Having a friend help hold it really helps.

You are a LOT BRAVER than I am. When you said it was easy I sure did not expect to see your car with the entire front end missing. I am going to keep my fingers crossed that the Z28 has a heritage grill already on it when it debuts.

Thanks. I am not painting mine so that it matches my matte black ground fx. I had matte stripes but after getting 3 paint chips in the hood in less than 1500 miles I had the whole hood covered with vinyl which made the stripes glossy. Took some getting used to but I like the look now. The whole front clip, front fenders, behind front/back tires, and front of rear tires (gills) are now covered in vinyl. Gills had 7 chips after 500 miles. Got all the chips fixed before vinyl. I can sleep at night now. lol. Looks good too. I got the SS logo to match what is on the grill now with a flat back on ebay for $24 for two of them from gmparts@geoweber.com. They have a sticky back but I will epoxy it as well. Getting rid of the bowtie.

You have to get creative if you want it. 3M tape will hold it on there, but it looks better without.

No. See my previous post, I bought new ones. You can alter the existing one if you want. Probably with a grinder. For $25 for two I avoided the hassle.

The SS will work with a little trimming.
