Cool RJT Painted Heritage Grille Installed

Just got my GM Heritage Grille painted and i installed it myself. not too hard to remove the bumper and swap out the grille.

to install the bowtie i found a couple of clips that looked just like the 4 retainer clips that hold the bottom of the grille onto the bumper, except the ones i found were slightly larger... i found out you don't NEED to reinstall these retainer clips and it is possible to use 2 of them to install the bowtie, just use needle nose pliers to open it up a little bit.

i had to modify the bowtie slightly. all i did was break the 2 vertical tabs off and cut the 2 circular tabs at each end, and then rested the horizontal flat tabs on the top of the third bar on the grille and held it in place with the 2 retainer clips i mentioned earlier.

here is some pics!

Did you put the bowtie on after the grille was installed? Looks FANTASTIC with the blacked out bowtie

yea i put it on to see what it looked like without the emblem and left the radiator shroud off so i could get my arm in there just in case.

i ended up liking it more with the emblem as you can tell!

Looks great! Do they make a grill for the lower section to match?

It does look good, I like it better with the BowTie also.. looks kind of bland without it. I think you have made up my mind to get one also, As soon as my income tax refund get deposited.

The grill looks great. I just installed mine yesterday as well. Didn't mean to hijack your thread. I think this grill looks awesome. Yours is the first RJT one I've seen.
