You might want to pick up the tire yourself rather than have the dealer do it. You'll probably pay less for the tire that way.

I called and priced them at a local tire store, so I know about what I should pay.

This is exactly why I bought the 5yr tire/wheel warranty at my dealer. I picked up a nail in my right rear tire with 2700 miles on the odometer. Dealer charged $340 to replace the tire. That was half the warranty price!

So buying the warranty still hasnt paid for itself right?

The impression I got from the salesman, right before I denied the coverage was that it would be free.

The rear OEM tires are down to $205 each at Tire Rack.

Damn that sucks. That nail looks huge too... Im glad I got the tire warranty, since you never know when things like this may happen.

Welcome to the not so friendly club I had this happen to me about 3 months ago all I can say is I am glad I opted for the Tire warranty

yep no patching that, and in reality I don't think ANY shop will patch it for liability reasons. Once it's in the sidewall your screwed.
