Here is a link to my build but it is not current as I have added lots of suspension pieces since I posted up the build. I am actually going to change my setup again as the maggie is maxed out and I am going to switch to the Kenne Bell 4.2 blower as I am hooked on the track thing and will focus more on a track car. Here is the link for you to view:

Bruce I did an 11.15 but spinning out of the hole and had a trap speed of 128mph so I am definitely going to full drag wheel and slicks. It was hot and track wasnt grabbing the best but I am happy with what I think car can do. My 60' was a only a 1.89 so lots of room for improvement there. This was without nitrous as well. I am going to put the 200 shot to it and get it tuned to my fuel which I am using VP MS109 and get the full slicks and see what this setup will do and then build to the KB blower. I am going to take my car to Craig at Extreme Innovations and stay a couple days and he is allowing me help with installing the cage and work on the suspension and then I will be ready to put the NOS to it and hopefully get a solid run out of this setup. Needless to say I am completely addicted to the track and not sure I will have enough to satisfy my adrenaline desire.

Oh man. You are so hooked now...

That 128 mph trap speed is really climbing so when you get those 60' times down you'll be rockin' ! The dedicated strip tires come with the territory. May want some Bogarts and slicks. The smaller the diameter, the better sidewall flex. Also, as you get into this pick up a Infrared temp gun to check starting line temps - you will want to start logging this for tire pressures. If you want, PM/email some of your slips and track info. I'd like to take a look.

I am sure Craig can help you get that suspension tuned up. We spoke today. He is sending some goodies out to California for the SST.

Next round of mods for your car - we'll just strap a rocket on the back. I'll grab a spare turbine out of one of the boats and...

P.S. Did you see the great shot of you and your boy in the C5Fest book? Doin' the muscle pose.

Now were talking, a turbine, that should work for the adrenaline rush. LOL I got the book and love the pic of my son and me, we had such a good time. I had to order a diff seal as one is leaking from putting in new axles and I am hoping it comes before Thursday night as I plan on heading back to the track. The learning curve for me right now is vertical as I cant take in enough info from everyone and its great as everybody at the track wants to help and see me do well. I enjoy the journey and learning my car as much as reaching a result at the track.

Oh yeah, feeding from the firehose. Also, when you are pushing the envelope for what parts are available, so it gets pretty frustrating as you know...

Glad to see that you are getting the chance to run it. Just always be safe...

Are you getting the 17" bogarts for the slicks? Let me know how they fit with those spohn rear lower control arms.

Jason, we will have to time it out where you come on the week of Real street drags up at our local track. This is a Friday night where there is grudge racing with the clocks off, I'll set you up with some locals and hopefully surprise them alittle , because I know what they run .

Craig that would be a blast. Hopefully I will have it dialed in and be running consistent times. We will just keep the hood closed as most people are shocked at what is under there as the outside everyone thinks thats the way Chevy built them. I will let you know ahead of time when I can get up there and I will try to come a couple days before track night and we can get the cage in and then go have some fun.

Cmurf, the Bogart 17" drag wheels are the only ones out right now that will clear the V8 brakes.

Jason,

I'll have a bunch of new axle seals in stock tomorrow if that new GM seal doesnt work out.
My new seals are made a little different and should work better.

How's the new axles working out? Any new track times? And did you make the Pour tour?

Thanks
Chris

Chris so far so good. I guess the seal was the culprit. Going to track this weekend. If I have any more issues, I will get some new seals. My only problem right now is my driveshaft feels like it is going to explode any minute. There is alot of slop and noise and I cant wait to get a 1 piece carbon shaft with the billet yokes. How much longer do we have to wait? I will send you my car if it will make it any quicker...HaHa
