I let mine leak all the way out because I'm also upgrading my fluid but your local hardware/auto parts store should have the caps to cap off the lines!!!!!

Even if it all leaks down just refill and bleed the brakes don't forget the dual bleeders on the calipers!!!! I will be doing the DIY on putting it back togather in a few weeks!!!!! This will include a neat little trick in bleeding the brakes stay tune I've got a nice little tip for everyone!!!

Not sure how you would plug the lines for any length of time, to be able send the calipers out and wait for them to come back.

ANYBODY ELSE KNOW?

I think, if you let it all bleed out, you will have issues with the ABS system needing to be bled out???

If I were you I would plug the lines. Then when you finish the install, flush the remaining fluid until you get new fluid. It shouldn't be that much. I just replaced my calipers this weekend. By the time I bled the sytem out completely, I had new fluid throughout the system anyway. Without having to possibly have issues with ABS or clutch.

Just my 2 cents. Keep us posted. I would like to know for future.

Look forward to your DIY writeup. I have Brembos ordered for the front wheels on my G8 and I am looking for info on bleeding the brakes. From what I've read on the G8, which I assume the Camaro would be the same, if the master cylinder goes dry, it requires taking it in to have a TECHII hooked up to reset the ABS.

I assume it needed to be reset because you drained all the brake fluid completely first, running the system dry?
