All you bad Camaro drivers need to stop crashing your cars. Your raising my rates. As the old guy on Hill Street Blues used to say, "lets be careful out there".
I'm 24 and I pay that every 6 months.

And it will continue to go up... The insurance companies were just "guessing" when they established rates. They now have a year of data and unless people quit wrecking these cars...the rates will go up. Every sports car sees this at some point in its lifecycle.

If you pay $1600 a year for the Camaro & $1200 for the pick-up and bike, thats $2800 assuming the $1200 is yearly not every 6 months too. How do you get $2000 a year for insurance?

I got two widely varying quotes. The first was $816 every 6 months and the one I took was $328 every 6 months. And they are for the same exact coverage too.

yea its 1600 for the camaro year round. the pick up 1300 year round and 700 for street bike. so total of 3600 year round? oh yea just turn 22 last week. so im a high risk.

I went from a 2008 colbalt to the 2010 camaro with the exact same coverage and my insurance stayed flat at just over $700/year

$666 and change a year for my Camaro. I'm 25.

I think you need to switch insurance companies...

For some reason Civic's are high. I went from:
'00 Trans Am to '06 Civic EX...Insurance went up
'06 Civic EX to '05 Mustang GT...Insurance went down
'05 Mustang GT to '08 Civic EX-L...Insurance when up
'08 Civic EX-L to '10 Camaro...Insurance went down.

My wife...
'05 Expedition EB to '08 Civic EX-L...Insurance went up
'08 Civic EX-L to '06 Expedition Limited...Insurance went down

Must be all the kids wrecking them and high theft rates perhaps!

The civic rates are just that...thefts and wrecks. I'm sure the insurance companies consider tickets (not to you, but to the population that own the same car you do) also in the "mix" to determine base rates (not sure as I'm not an actuary, but that makes sense as statistics could demonstrate a propensity to drive "recklessly" in a certain vehicle type and total tickets for the population of those drivers could signal a need to increase premiums on the whole.
