Ok quick replie to my issues with a sc.
extra weight in front of car. belt super tight which worries me about pulley bearing failures. power is there don't get me wrong, but im just used to max power from nitrous right when i want it. I really miss a turbo set up too. Now that turbo kits are coming out i'm really leaning to that idea. It's nothing to do with not liking the power of the maggie really. Its just the type of power, set up that im just not liking. just an fyi this is my first ever sc build, so had no idea what to expect. I had previously two turbo cars and ive put nitrous on everything to my 07 350z to the ohv cavalier i had in highschool lol so im just used to that build the most.

As far as the weight, you could always remove the front bumper reinforment bar, that thing is very heavy to compensate. But I think you`ve already made up your mind anyway.

I've had three maggies for probably 80K miles. One bearing on an idler pulley went bad. It made a little noise, so I pulled the belt off and found it by spinning each pulley. Not sure if it was a GM or a Magnuson idler. The bearing was replaceable, in stock, and about $2.00 at my local small town NAPA store. Never lost a belt. The power is controlled with your right foot . The system is capable of 600+ft/lbs of torque from 2500rpm up. It can easily make more power than your stock LS3, or Camaro drivetain, can handle. My TVS blown LS3 is making 670+rwhp on mild boost. 2.9" pulley, mild blower cam, ported throttle body, and bolt ons. You might want to catch a ride in another maggie blown Camaro that's set up a little more aggressively than yours. It might save you a little coin. |

With your current set up you are only scratching the surface of the potential of the Maggie 2300. NO Power adder is More OEM Like and full of Potential. We are continuing development of higher power packages with the Maggie so stay tuned. 8 Rib conversion opens the door, for more boost and more power. Water meth injection allows more boost on pump gas, we are up to 12 psi right now and pushing for more. Ted.

Agreed NO2 is an engine eater - if you're not happy with the Maggie the NO2 will not make you happy. Perhaps leave the maggie on and add a very small like 50hp NO2 shot. That way when you want that little extra you can squeeze and get the "fix" you need. At this point it is cheaper to add a small NO2 shot than to take it all off. However if you are like me and want a beast - Just TT the engine and be down with it. Turbos will be all they should be. 500 to 1200hp at the push of a bottom - no pulley changes and no obnoxious header leaks and drones

sometimes I wonder what people are expecting from another 110-125 additional Emissions Legal horsepower. Is it the power delivery? I see you have had nitrous and turbos, do you like the power delivery of those over the PD blower? I personally hated it when I had a turbo, and almost went broke on Nitrous.
Ted Said it best.....If you are looking to expand on a quality OEM style piece then we have your poison. If you like leaking charge pipes, dripping oil, bell shaped dyno graphs, and refilling tanks then the others are your only options. Sorry it did not work out, if you cannot find a buyer for the system, please give me a call. |

Dracer, I didn't know you started with Maggie. Was it on the Camaro? What set up did you have on the Vette? |
