from the time of my first post on this thread(7:11) to now(7:23) the bid has gone from 19,985 to 30,100

It is $32,606 now, but what I think is worse is that be is demanding payment in one week for a car he admits he can't deliver until march (at best).

Why doesn't the winning bidder just order the car from a dealer. It's a mark up on Ebay and a mark up at the dealer.

ebay has a EULA clause in which they are not liable for a auction, the creator of the post is solely in trouble if it does have ramificiations.

also, selling a car isnt illegal, therefore they couldnt be drug into a lawsuit even if they wanted

They can't avoid being named as a witness however no amount of paper work prevents that. That's all I was saying I wasn't saying they'd be held accountable for the stupidity of the purchaser or the fraudulent behaviour of the seller. It's still not good publicity for them.

Just FYI optonline.net is the primary Cable ISP for the NY tri-state area, not some local cheapo ISP. (Not that I want to defend them, my f-ing cable bill is highway robbery every month). But I have seen local dealers with optonline emails, its not uncommon.

That said... Anyone notice this is the original posters FIRST post. Its likely the guy who posted that stupid ad trying to drum up bids!
