But back to topic, I don't think that GM would release all 3 GM leaders standing in front of a "production clay model" if it wasn't the real deal. Glad to see they are making progress. You know TAG, it was you, I think, who said that it would be better to advertise a late release and release it earlier, then advertise on time and release it late. I'm beginning to think this might be the case!!

I love how they are showing only a little bit at a time. Actually it makes me pretty mad. I want to see the whole car, and I want to see it NOW. If they hold off too long on the release date I could get impatient and buy a Challenger or GT500. I wouldn't want that to happen.

I betcha GM did it on purpose. You know they reviewed the picture before releasing it to the press to make sure they looked okay...the placement was okay...etc. They studied the hell out of the picture. They knew the car in the background was there....they knew.

Man i hear ya!! only thing different with me is that i still got till beginning of november to pay my car off then i can start saving. the more money i have saved the better off i am so time is on my side for once!! But a production picture would be extremely nice that way i know exactly what i'm saving for. I'm gonna be extremely pissed off if they didn't keep their word and stay true to the concept design!!!

Ya know i bet thats someones job. All they do is decide how they wanna mess with people like us by releaseing photos. God thats so frustrating.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that they should be hand-building a final production model now. Which means they've already decided on what it's finally going to look like. Let's say they get that done by October. Then they should be designing their stamps, and dies, and all the other factory tools. Assuming that's finished by May of 2008, they refit the Oshawa Plant by September, and Build the "First 30" by October.

However we look at it, There has been more than just an Isolated report that the Production model looks very similar, if not exactly like the concept. So...maybe they're farther along then I guestimated.

Of course it's someone's job....they are called PR people and marketing people. They thrive on generating interest without giving out too much too early.

And they obviously do a good job of it....this site alone has been around for how long now and the car isn't even due out for another 1-1.5 years.
