Unfortunately the police never get involved in stuff like this and I doubt you can even file a police report. All you can do is sue him in small claims court in his home state. But you will have to travel there to be present in court and of course the cost of this could exceed the amount you were ripped off from or he may have no money to even win a judgment. Good Luck with this.

Police actually DO get involved with computer fraud. There's a whole section of the FBI dedicated to stuff just like this (but on a higher level). We have our own computer crimes section in our PD as well. The problem usually occurs when people don't have email trails and there isn't enough info on the suspect. In this case, it looks like there would be a good case if he didn't pay it back.

the other thread was closed... apparently hunting down a thief that has scammed thousands of dollars from C5 members is not allowed.

So where does this stand?

No, no no no....

It's nothing to do with catching a criminal. It's the death threats, the pictures of what people want to do to him, the "planning" if you will. By all means, you guys can talk about how he is a piece of crap and you can discuss the current standings on where everyone is at. But, let's keep the "planning" of what you want to do to the guy either in your minds or in between PM's. Which brings me to his info. Everyone knows that all of his info, his name, address, phone numbers, facebook page, email accounts, EVERYTHING....is now on file with a BUNCH of C5 members. If anyone wants it, all you have to do is send a PM to fieldgoal00 or his wife.

Talk...talk away.

I'm going to be monitoring this thread and will read every post. So, continue here for all you want. Just no death threats to the guy. Believe me, I want justice too...I just won't type what I think...

Our department does as well...all he should have to do is contact his local PD because I believe (as far as FL law applies) the jurisdiction relies on the victim's residence or point of sale. They would pass the info onto AZ...maybe you guys do it differently.
