No, dude, digits 12 thru 17 of your VIN are the production sequence/serial number. You read them left to right, not right to left. The only odd thing is that with the Camaro the very first car off the production assembly had 100001 for digits 12 thru 17. Digit 12 was a 1 instead of a 0 I believe to account for all of the Captured Test Fleet vehicles that rolled off of the assembly line before the official start of production.
So, for instance, my VIN (see my sig) has 105017 for digits 12 thru 17, which means my car was the 5,017th car to roll off of the assembly line. It was not the 710,501st to roll off the line...

It's good the Camaro started up agian in 2010, and not 2009- would confuse alot of people because of the VIN structure changes for 2010-2039 MY!
