I usually fill up between 250 and 270 miles. Roughly 16.7 mpg according to the DIC.

We have been tracking our gas usage very closely since our purchase because my wife felt GM's MPG claim was a lie. I had to prove her wrong!

GM FTMFW! (even though that's my money you used to build my car then sold to me and I still had to pay interest!....****ERS!)

Das right! It's in the shifting.

the car idles under 1K RPM's the closer you keep it to idol ranges the less gas you consume compared to 3K+ RPM shifts.

THAT IS WHY M6 > L99's
How much are you actually filling up each time? Chances are you are not using 19 gallons, more like 16 to 17.5 max. Either way that is above normal MPG for this car for sure. I'd love to be able to get that much MPG but I cant keep my foot out if it.

If I take it really easy on the gas I could keep my L99 below 2k RPM, but it would certainly piss off all the other drivers on the road. Plus, I'd rather drive and have fun than worry about the couple MPG gain.

No. Just stating the fact that shifting at higher RPM's will cause you to burn more fuel.

It's $2.59/93 octane here in central Ark. That's with my 0.10 discount at Kroger gas station.
