I have no idea- just throwing it out there. Are there more taxes or whatever on trucking in Canada? Could the difference (adjusted for currency exchange) just be that it simply costs more for trucks to operate in Canada?

It probably does cost a little more to ship in Canada vs. the US, but not double. Also, the exchange difference would most likely be enough to take care of the extra cost of shipping. The shipping should be 1000 bucks, there's no if ands or buts about it. The extra 400 bucks is just padding.

There is, but GWB has served all of his terms so you can't vote for him anymore.

Its nice to see the support from our friends down south. I wonder if GM is even going to really consider this, they probably wont. It should be 1000, but i realized that the shipping costs have always been complete garbage for us, w.e it shoudve been included in the priced they releases. Pure bull$hit that it wasnt.

Chrysler may have set the precedent by establishing a $1300 destination charge for the Challenger, which is built in Brampton, Ontario. (closer to Toronto than Oshawa!!)

Best regardSS,

I thought I read somewhere that you could pick up your new Corvette at the Bowling Green factory if you so chose, would be great if we could do same with Camaro or Challenger!

That could be my RS package. I wish they would just do that, or atleast drop the price to 1000.

Let's not forget we are talking about Canada here where socialism runs rampant. Those of us who live within 45 minutes of the factory are subsidizing the freight cost of the rest of the country. It cost $75 dollars to ship your Camaro to a GTA dealer, the balance of the $1400 is used to pay the shipping for those destine to Vancouver, Calgary, White Horse, Halifax, Saint John, St John's, and so on.
