Car isn't ready...need to put in the LSX LS9 heads. Won't finish up in time for the race.

It made 20 psi, and with a pulley swap I'm sure it could make 23 or 24 on a 3.0 pulley. But, for now, since the race is out of the picture, I'll probably just get the car dynoed and to the track as is. I'll wait on the nitrous and higher boost for now!

The KB has a lot more upside!

J-

Thanks for the update. Don't feel too bad. It ALWAYS takes longer than you think to get things upgraded if you want to do it right...

Shoot us a video when you hit the dyno !!

Car final #s without any nitrous...good showing for the 3.6 KB

772 rwhp/710 rwtq.....thats on a 3.25 pulley. Theres more potential there..I still think the bogarts will add another 35/30 to that number.....so maybe 807/740 are the real #s...I may never find out!

I included a dyno.....and my car is an A6

Hoping to have runs on Sunday.....I will be gone til Tuesday in Vegas...won't be getting my E-mails until then.

I think it was actually at 19 or 20 psi...on a 3.25 pulley. If they could do a smaller pulley for mine....say 2.75 or 2.5, I'm sure they could get 24-28 psi. We will hopefully cross that hurdle some other day.....that may require a lot of work!

KB results

We never made it to a warm track in Orlando....but the "street" set-up for the KB made around 1000 hp and got over 140 mph trap speed on a cold track and 40 degree weather. Many passes were made but tires spun too much....so we will have to wait til next year for some good times!

Looks like if I get another Throttle Body and plate (along with a few other items), I'll be able to make nearly full use of the 1200 hp that the 3.6 KB can make. This set-up will only be used in races or any passes. The street set-up was made with "driveability" in consideration.

Looks like there isn't any more room for nitrous on my current set-up....so only time will tell If I get an LSX block or not!

I have a great deal for someone looking to buy a tvs 2300. Andy is getting prices for the pieces of my old set-up that still needs to be ordered. Those parts may cost $1500-$2000...will find out shortly. I'd be willing to sell what I have already for $2000. So, if someone is looking for a maggie that had less than 3,000 miles on it for really cheap...give me a PM

Detroit Autorama

If anyone is near Detroit this Friday stop on by the Detroit Autorama.

Unless I get snowed in here....I'll be there early Friday afternoon....and my car is already up there and will be part of the show.

And stop on by with the #1 company in the business....Livernois...I'm sure they will have a huge display area!

Hey J -

So I take it your car is ready for the upcoming 2011 season?

Big B-

Its ready now, but we're making some small (not necessarily subtle) changes involving the intake (and perhaps some other items). Either way, I think the car will either improve on its power by a little if we just change out the throttle body, or a lot if we can open things up a bit (we will find out shortly).

How about you? Are you still so close...and yet...so far?

Hope you find some more power in there with your tweaks. That would be awesome. I'll bet that KB is a beast.

Very close. Dyno Tuesday, then back in to SST. Waiting for driveshaft. Center gauges should be done soon, but those are not necessary to run the car. Plan on going to CA this month for some road tuning/suspension tuning. Probably going to have almost no track time by C5Fest2, but will dial what I can there.
