I took a little more material off the bottom of the radiator bracket so the outside front edges of the VR doesn't rest on them.

The top of the rad leans back just 3/8", the width of the supplied rubber grommet and the wing. I didn't remove the hard plastic inner grommet from the bracket.

The top of the rad is stable just like from the factory.

The VR tube lines up flush with the TB with some play at the front.

No problems, it's called modding.

EDIT: Agree with bmore, it's just an intake and adding my last input till the fall.
GTO can you post a picture that with the full intake installed that shows how much of a gap you have for air to come through between the top of the filter housing and the rubber gasket (the one that is partially pulled off in the picture above)? Thanks!

What # were you? Were you on the first group buy list? I would probably send a PM to Vararam to see what's up.

Tried putting my brackets on after cutting more material off, no way this intake will sit right with my brackets. Plus, when my brackets in, the damn radiator can move just as much as without them.

Post some pictures, maybe we can offer some suggestions to help out. Looking at GTO's pictures gave me a couple of ideas.

As far as the sound goes, my hypothesis is that the shape of the intake actually amplifies the sound emanating from the throttle body - like the bell of a trumpet.

My engine absolutely ROARS with the Vararam on, it's pretty amazing. Since I'm completely stock otherwise, it's almost like getting an exhaust upgrade in addition to the performance benefits!!!

Opened my box to paint the top of the intake, and checked for extra glue, plastic burrs, etc. Stuff looks and feels flawless.

Good to hear
Quick question, so let's say your stopped at a light, car is obviously stationairy, if the intake seals itself to the hood. When not moving and you rev the engine hard which I do 24/7. Where is the intake pulling air from?

When the motor is running period it is consistently pulling in air regardless what intake you have! When you rev it up moving or stationary it turns in to a high powered vacuum cleaner sucking up everything in it's way
