So would I but I met Scott about a decade ago and he explained to me, and several others with the same question, that it's not feasible from an testing and government reg standpoint to be able to offer these options.

Maybe he will pop in and clarify, but it is NOT an easy thing for a manufacturer to offer all the options that we as consumers want.

Sure, they could do it in the 60's and early 70's but it just won't work in this day and age.

I'll take the passenger seat power option, they can keep the rest. I like the updates (except the steering wheel) but they don't make me wanna trade, I'll keep my '10 thank you. I want to see more interior pics, I'm liking the stitching on the dash and logo. One thing I did notice is the middle of the leather seats aren't perforated like mine. So us guys hoping for a simple seat swap mod on the passenger side will have to go a little further and just utilize the frame if possible....Or replace both seats to match..

I mean anyone who actually says the Mustang is not a good looking car and a damn fine performer needs to be woke up , but the camaro looks way better and I am just such a Big fan of Camaros through and through so I will be getting one, and if my M6 tranny screws up on me, I'll get it replaced over and over and over again if I have to, just so I can have the car that I know in my heart that I want the most.
Welcome back! I guess we can put you in the 50%club that changes their mind after not liking it at first. That didn't take long.

So these changes/updates to the engine will stop the timing chain problems?

Well here's my thoughts on the 45th Anniversary Edition,

- Color looks nice, but need to see it in person.
- Stripes, they looked odd to me at 1st but now there ok.
- Wheels, not liking them at all. Ill take stock or SLP's wheels over these anyday of the week.
- Spoiler, really dont see much of a difference.
- FE4 Suspension, seems like a nice upgrade. Credit given for that.
- V6 Upgrades, careless because ill never own a V6 Camaro, Mustang, Firebird..EVER!!!
- Steering Wheel, ummm??? Who cares about this damn thing. 1 of the smallest issues you guys complain about on this car. Get over it already or buy another car. Simple as that!

Probably missing some other stuff to touch on with this car. I think GM couldve done better but then again, main focus was probably more on the ZL1 then any other Camaro model.

While the car looks great, I'm not so happy about a few thing that it represents. Like HumanWiki said, offering previously optional (read: having to pay a premium for them) features as standard equipment the following model year is just a kick in the nuts to those of us who paid, what, $1200 for these cool, not-standard looking options. Not cool, man, not cool!

And the red/white/blue stitching? You guys realize that this car is built in Canada, and will also be sold in Canada, and that even though the Camaro is/was an "American Icon", things have changed. I have nothing against Americans (In fact I love it down there), but this is just too much.

As far as the steering wheel goes, I personally happen to love the current wheel. I have large hands and the dish seems to fit them perfectly. I can hit all the buttons easily and I do not find it too large. That being said, the wheel from the Cruze is actually pretty nice. Fits good and the thickness, though a bit small for my big mitts, is actually better than a lot of the steering wheels I've had in my hands.

I've seen a lot of people commenting that they want a NAV option as well. Really?? Why? With navigation available in everyone's smart phones, OnStar, and yes even available in "GASP!" street signs, why wound anyone in their right mind think a NAV screen would be a good fit for what is essentially a beast of a sports coupe that is designed to be just civil enough of daily driving? And I see that some of these same people are the ones bitching about the car already being too heavy. The power passenger seat falls into the same category as well I suppose.

In all, the refresh (yes, it's a 45th Edition, but it's still just a basic refresh with a fancy moniker) looks great, but let's not forget that it is just that. A simple refresh of a car that is only in it's third year of production.

Personally I love my 2010. I would not trade it in for anything right now or in the foreseeable future. HUD? Who cares. Suspension tweaks that 99% of drivers will not even notice unless they read it in the brochure? Who cares? A new color option? Don't be so damn fickle people.

I suspected that the 2012 would be less actractive then 2011 , and I was right .

I'm glad I decided to hold off to get a 2012 model year! A quick question though. I have been trying to read all these pages, but haven't been able to read everything yet. I've read the first post talking about the spoiler being standard and the RS taillights being standard. I then read people saying they weren't happy that the RS parts were becoming standard.

Other than the taillights and spoiler, are the halo's and/or wheels from the RS becoming standard too? My assumption from reading the release is that it's only the spoiler and taillights, but I wanted to see if anyone had heard anything else.

I'm curious to see if there is any change to the center radio system :o

I don't like it. The stripes look like something from the 80's. So does the red, white and blue stitching.
