It is acrylic and two different types of composite material.
We do not use rubber. Not even sure if we could. The frame is just flexible because it is thin by design.
We also make them out of the stainless frames.

Roger, what's the dimensions of your ZL1 cover plate? Just ordered a grill and and contemplating a custom emblem instead of the stock "SS" so wondering how much room I had to play with.

5" x 1.25", but I can make a custom thing if you need me to.

Hey Roger ever think about making steering wheel emblems for us 2012 LS and LT guys like they put at the bottom of the SS and ZL1 wheel?

I think since it would be recessed some that should not be a problem. If you want to make a small 1LT and send it to me I'll be glad to test it for you.
