Hi,
I have a 2012 1SS on order and have an order #prsrg8 . I went on GM's order status site and it says my order is waiting for a dealer production slot. I dont like the sound of that . I ordered two weeks ago to get in the early production but that doesnt seem to be happening.
Can anyone tell me what this means and what to do ? I am in east ,TN .

Sounds to me that your Dealer put the order in without having an allocation available at the time of ordering and the Dealer didn't tell you.

Sorry for the delay - late dinner

Your order is at 1100 status and the production slot
refers to allocation. Your dealer has to be able to
place the order against his allocation. In the course
of a month, he will have a # of 2012 Camaro's to order,
or he could have none. Assuming he has allocation,
when that allocation comes up in his weekly Dealer
Order Submission cycle, he places his orders against
it. This if different than if you had ordered a Cruze
or Silverado or Malibu. Those vehicles are produced
in great volume and there's no allocation necessary
to get the order built. Camaro's are a different story.

So at this point, you need to talk to the dealer and
find out when that allocation will be available.

Good luck and if you have any other questions, don't
hesitate to ask.
