i drive auto. i just never enjoyed stick. most traffic is stop and go and it just feels like a hassle. it's one thing in a drag race, or even on the highway, but otherwise i don't enjoy.

Stick... if i could do it all over id get a stick. My next car will be stick. I had a auto GTO and it is just not the same as a stick. Had to get rid of it because of that. Everybody thought i was crazy but its all about the driving experience.

Well let's see I'm an elevator mechanic doing installation/high-rise 40-100 floors, work in all conditions [-22F to 113F] it takes 4 years of schooling to get your licence and about 5-10 years to run your own job, and it makes me very jealous when I see "men" with manual transmission, I think to myself '’wow that guy must be so skillful, I wish I had the mind capacity to understand how it all works and how I hope that one day I’ll be manly enough to drive it’' truly a mind blowing skill. The fact is I bought what I wanted, I didn’t pull my pants down and say to myself ‘’I have to get the manual and the V8 so that I can look down on everybody every chance I get’’. It’s so stupid how people have to go out there way to down talk a V6 or a auto owner just so they can feel like the “king of the hill’’ and you always see it, at the end of the day who cares? Just be happy with what you got. I can’t imagine going up to someone and knocking there tranny or the size of their engine. Pretty sad that people go out their way to down talk someone and destroy their joy because of their douchebag insecurity and the need to be “better”.

Complaining about the question is less manly, not driving an automatic.

I am one of those, auto daily drivers and stick for a more driver experience guys. This is my first MT owned car. Traffic is not a big deal and i never heard someone who actually own a manual complain about it much, but its the first thing that someone who cant drive stick says. There is nothing wrong with auto, but imho, if you want to enjoy your car to the fullest and connect, learn, and grow with the car, there is no better way to do it other than with an mt. Now can all you auto drivers sit down and let your car drive you somewhere to relax... i mean drive your car and go relax.

Wow! this thread really opened my eyes. I was thinking the reason I bought a V6 Automatic was because it was what I wanted. Now I know it's because when I had Testicular Cancer and had to have one testicle removed I am now only half a man....no wonder I bought a V6 automatic.......

Personally, I think all Camaros should have 3 pedals. It's the same reason why a Z06/ZR1/1LE only comes with a manual.
Does it make you less of a man if you drive an automatic? I don't think so.
