Not true. Apples to oranges comparison.

1st gen camaros are few and far between in good condition.

5th gen camaros are plentiful with numerous alternative examples to purchase in great condition. Easily obtainable. Damaged ones are looked over (there by value lowered)

I would say that would be incorrect! In 1971 there was no CarFax etc. I won't buy a car that has been in an accident

This was a non-AC red car, one of only 5 built.

In the owners list sticky, 2014 #29 shows to be white with AC, owned by DonnieDarko94?

Exactly! Car fax changed the used car business for sure. If I found an old Camaro that was clipped or had a salvage title I would walk away.

A final farewell to 2014 car # 400. White w/ ac. And 6 speaker. While sad to see it in this state, it will be saving two z/28s. One that was a theft recovery, and one that was hit in the front.

Everyone but the car. It breaks my heart to see a rare Z/28 destroyed like this. The Camaro sacrified himself so that his occupants might live.

Damn it. These cars are extremely deadly and a handful at speed even for experienced old farts, let alone some kid. In the wet. In a curve. Not hauling ass and driving responsibly like it's his and he paid for it, I'm sure.

When I drove mine around Hockenheim at speed I could feel every kilogram, at almost two metric tons, it's a tremendous amount of mass to be wringing in a curve. I've a racing license and have been driving for decades, had 500+ HP cars and it was still scary, I never feared for my life so much in any other car. It's not the kind of a car a kid should ever be entrusted with, or the kind of a car which should ever be underestimated for a microsecond. It's an awesome racing machine, but it requires an extraordinary driver to extract the race track performance it can provide. I don't think I even came close to what the car can do. And this kid was messing around on a public road?

Heh. I could barely walk afterwards. It would have never occurred to me that my knees would be getting crushed from the G-forces.
