Nah, it's a pitot tube. (kidding or not it may be real but for testing purposes only)Pitot-Static tubes, which are also called Prandtl tubes, are used on aircraft as speedometers. The pitot-static tube is mounted on the aircraft "or Camaro" so that the center tube is always pointed in the direction of travel and the outside holes are perpendicular to the center tube. On some airplanes the pitot-static tube is put on a longer boom sticking out of the nose of the plane or the wing.

I believe my Department uses it to measure water flow and what-not, so I believe it would be used for aerodynamics, or something like that, in this case.

That makes sense, so they can measure the camaro's mach number.

There's no reason that it can't tow a trailer! They have to test it for that too I'm sure. Before everyone bought trucks people towed trailers with cars all the time.

I really like the way the back of the Camaro is turning out As far as I know, no one has really commented on the rear "diffuser"...It looks as though it won't do much of anything...(any help there?) but I really like the way it looks!! And I'm liking the way the exhaust is set up, with the tips coming through a "plastic-ish" ring, KIND of like the concept. Plus...there seems to be plenty of room for switching out the exhaust or putting in larger pipes...

...um...who else hopes we can't see the mufflers as much as on the pre-pro??? (I know it's not finished...I'm just saying that I 'hope'!!)

The black plastic piece ('diffuser') isn't finished, yet - same goes for the mufflers: You shouldn't be able to see them come production.
